Today was the first day of first grade for S. She woke up at 7:15, too excited to sleep. Bit of a problem, since school didn't start until 9:15. So, she spent those two hours waiting, getting dressed, waiting, jumping around excitedly, waiting, and a bit of pestering about when exactly it would be time to go. On the way there, she told me she would miss me today. I told her it would be really fun and that I didn't think she'd miss me all that much. She said, "Mom, it's a long time!" Yep, the jump from Kindergarten to first grade is a big one, and we will definitely miss S while she's gone. I'm most concerned about the two little boys left at home. H's preschool doesn't start until next week, so I'm sure he'll be plenty bored today without his big sister. Although, I'll bet the choice of afternoon video is a bit different today than usual, probably something in the Star Wars genre. :)

Wow! School starts early there! B's kindergarten (next year) is full day!! I am already dreading it! I hope S. had a great first day!
Tennille, what on earth are you doing going to first grade again!! Could S look any more like your twin!! I love it, seriously I'm dying. 9:15 is an awsome starting time C told me I should have signed him up for afternoon kindergarten so that he could sleep in. I didn't even know he knew there was the option. She is sooo cute & I bet she's so smart to.
I'm glad you think she looks like me. She was A's twin for so long that it's nice to see she does have some of my traits. :)
I'd much rather do the 9:15 start time than the 8 am start. Yuck.
She was A's twin for a long time...how strange. But did you get out your elementary pictures so you could give her the same haircut you had?
No I didn't... dork. :)
Glad to see you and "melin" are continuing your normal conversation skills. The "dork" comment made me think of many discussions (fights?) I've witnessed between you two. Oh, and S looks adorable. Give her a hug from her aunt!
