End in sight

Yes, I'm still pregnant, but hopefully, not for long. I'm almost 38 weeks and had an appointment today. I'm about 3 cm dilated (forgot to ask about effacement). We set an induction date for next Tuesday, but he wanted to check their amniotic fluid levels first to make sure they'd be ok until then. The ultrasound tech said there's adequate fluid, but not extra. Still ok if they don't come until Tuesday, though. I'm in a lot of pain from the exam and having some contractions. We'll see if they peter out or actually go somewhere. I'm so ready to be done with this and just meet these kids already! :)

oh seriously?! I was hoping the silence from you was because you already had them. I hope those kids decide to bust out before they're evicted. thinking of you...

You win! You have outlasted both Brooke and me. I'd have thought I would carry them longer than petite little Tennille, but alas! You are the champ. I know it sucks big time, but really, congratulations. It's awesome that you did so well and carried them so long.

I was in a lot of pain too. They stripped my membranes on a Wednesday or Thursday and I started losing my mucus plug the next day and started going into labor Saturday night. Who knows if the membrane stripping worked, but I did seem to be in a lot more pain when labor was nigh. Here's hoping!

I agree with you, I want to meet those two little babies and get my fun loving Tennille back. Not that your not still fun and loving, but you know what I mean. You can still me if you go into labor during the night. Really I don't mind.

Those are going to be two very healthy babies after cooking for so long. I happy for you that you have an end in sight.

OK, I'm behind in my blog checking so tomorrow must be the big day unless you've already done it, but I just had to say I am IMPRESSED that you have made it to 38 weeks on your 4th pregnancy, with twins! That is crazy. Good for you. Can't wait to find out all the details - praying for a safe, easy (as can be) and rewarding labor experience! Love you!

Hey Neelie,
I just booked my plane ticket to come help! I arrive Friday (1 August) morning and stay until the following Saturday morning. I'm working on rides from the airport so hopefully I'll just show up on your doorstep ready to play with rugrats and hold babies! Love you!
