Some people wouldn't call it a "getaway" if they took two of their kids with them. But when those kids are sweet, smiley babies who eat, roll around, and play, it's really no trouble at all. A and I went out of town for the weekend, and A's mom kindly watched the three older kids. While he biked during the day, the babies and I enjoyed quiet time together. It was kind of rainy and A was worried that I would get stir crazy inside all day with the babies. I assured him that I relish days spent without little people whining and bugging me for things. I read books, watched movies, and napped while they napped. It was heaven. Oh, and A had fun biking with friends. :)
Now that they're six months old, the babies would like to showcase a few tricks for everyone.
N can sit up now.
And who could resist that cute of a pose?
Not to be outdone, A2 has some fancy moves of his own.
Gearing up to crawl (they'll both be taking off any day now--aah!)
Okay, me and blogger need to have us some words! Once again, I comment only to have my comment eaten somewhere in the internets. What I said was, amazing what begins to pass for a pleasant getaway the more children we have, isn't it. Thanks for the pix. They're wonderful, but I can't decide if it helps to make me miss them less or makes me more sad at how quickly they are growing and changing without me! Glad you had fun.
That pose of N with her on the side is something all my kids have done. Don't know why but they seem to "rest" that way all the time. Too cute and wow they look alike. They could really pass for the same kid. Glad you got sometime away from the running loud ones. I literally have 3 boys running around my house yelling something with swords so I know what you mean...it's a snow day.

I'm loving the George Costanza pose of picture #2.
ADORABLE!
Did you pose her that way? What a doll!
It's so nice to get away sometimes! I am going to have to show Cate these pictures, she is TOTALLY unmotivated about moving at all.
