Nine

I can't believe my little girl is nine. She's growing up too fast. Pretty soon, I'll have a preteen. But for now, she's still content to play dress-up, Barbies, and fairies, read about Ramona Quimby and Harry Potter, and giggle to her heart's content. And, she wants to be a writer when she grows up. (Yeah!)

We started the celebration on Friday with a special dinner with her best friend and her friend's mom (who just happens to be my best friend--how handy!). Then, I brought both girls to our house for a sleepover, complete with a movie in S's bedroom and sticky buns for breakfast in the morning.

Happy birthday, S! We love you!

9??? NINE??? Aren't you like 18? How do you have a nine year old? OK, maybe I've never gotten past our BYU days but I just can't believe we're old enough to have walking-talking 9 year olds in our midst. Nevertheless, happy birthday to a darling little girl!

Oh Savannah,

Serving a mission is the only thing in this world that would keep us away from seeing you and hugging you on your birthday. I have no doubt you will continue to blossom into as beautiful and talented a woman as is your mother! Tanti Auguri! from Italy. Your Nonna and Nonno Lisonbee.

Sorry, Tennille, I think Adam probably gets those costume-loving genes from his mother. It's the theater in me! Everyone looks so precious (well not Adam). Who says they all have to match? I was surprised to see that Italy is starting to love to do the Halloween thing too, but with all the gated apartment houses they do the trick or treating at private parties or at the piazzas or malls.
