Why can't it stay Spring forever? Or perhaps until around July 15?
We've been having some unseasonably cool weather around here lately. Like, 70 degrees one day and then 50 the next. There's even been snow in the higher elevations. My husband has complained quite a bit because he loves the hot weather for biking. Pretty much everyone I know wishes it would warm up more, but not me. I would rather it stay 65 for as long as possible. Not only am I lazy about turning on the A/C, but this year I have a special reason to want it to stay cool: swelling. Up until now, I've been able to wear cute skirts, sandals, and capris and feel pretty good about how my legs and feet looked. With 80+ degree days coming up this weekend, that will be a thing of the past. Gone will be the comments from family and friends that I look cute. Pretty soon, everyone will just give me sympathy sighs and say, "How much longer do you have?"
I know I'm being whiny, but hey, I'm pregnant and it's my blog, so I'll complain if I want to. :)
On a less-whiny note, the babies are doing well and getting fat in there. Both are measuring about a week and a half ahead of my due date (and have been since 10 wks) so they might move it up. I'm slightly anemic but I don't have gestational diabetes. I'll take the little iron pill over testing my blood any day.

Have you had gestational diabetes before? You sound as though you might have had personal experience with it. I had it with one of mine. I'm always anemic too, but I always throw up the iron pill so that doesn't sound pleasant to me either! I think that even if you do swell some, your ankles will just look like most people's when they aren't prego! Yes... you look that good!! Hang in there!
I've never had it before, but there's an increased risk with twins. More placenta, more hormones, more risk for GD, I guess.
Feeling sorry for you. Carrie was over today and she is dying with just one! Good Luck!
I am so grateful I had twins during the later part of winter because seriously, I would have been so swollen if it had been summertime. As it was I was hot like it was summertime. Although summer would have given me the flip flop option instead of being miserable in shoes a full size larger than normal. Just remember.. it's all about elevation.
And you are so lucky you didn't have to do the 3 hour glucose test-NASTY! I just felt gross the entire day after the test.
I always like cool weather even though I don't have your excuse. There's a reason I moved from Austin - too hot. Enjoy the Spring! Oh, and whats the tentative due date now (if they move things up)?
I agree with your friend that even fully swollen, you will most likely just look like the rest of us, but since I got ridiculous swollen with Em--in November--I can relate to what fully swollen feels like, even if it doesn't look like it feels to the rest of us. And I agree with beebs, the flip flop option is a good thing, if I'd had to find actual close all the way around my feet shoes in their ridiculous swollenness, I likely would have gone barefoot. And pregnant whining is always acceptable!
You always look cute! Even if you did swell, (which I doubt) you'll be cute. You are amazing!
