At Wal-mart on Friday night, the teenage cashier with a cool earring (hereafter referred to as TC w/CE) made perhaps the best preggo comment I've ever heard.
TC w/CE: Boy or girl? (I was so tired that when he said that, I actually thought to myself, "Boy or girl what?")
Me: Oh--it's both. I'm having twins.
TC w/CE: I knew it!
Me: You did not.
TC w/CE: I did so. That is one BIG belly.
Ha! Only a punk teenager could get away with a comment like that. It was great. :)

You're last post made me laugh! I am so impressed by you and hope you're feeling "good"! We know the feeling of wanting to avoid the NICU, so take it easy:)

Nice! Now I know you must be getting close to the end because those were the comments I got towards the end... random people asking when you're due because dang, you can't get any bigger... You really should try and confuse the next person who asks when you're due and say November...
I am glad you didn't rip the earing out and shove him under the register. Not that I would do that...
Although I have only had my babies one at a time, I think the comment that always takes the cake for me at the end is "Haven't you had that baby yet?" Although, a friend of mine was asked about 8 weeks AFTER her baby was born if she was excited about the coming arrival, so I suppose it could get worse. You are a kind and wonderful soul not to have decked the kid, although maybe you were just trying not to get your hand caught up in the cool earing!
I love it! That made me smile. I like to tell people, "What? I'm not pregnant." Very funny...try that next time.
I'm so laughing right now. I can just picture TC w/CE being so proud of herself when she said "I knew it". It's good you can laugh at that!
You totally should have tried to convince TC w/CE that you weren't pregnant or some other comment to confuse. That would have been fun. But also imagining whacking said teenager up side the head probably works too.

So funny. I had a kid ask me once if I was pregneant and when I said yes he said "My Moms not pregnant, shes just fat." So it could be worse. At least you have a great excuse!
Awesome. By the way, I'm actually really excited for you that you're doing so well! I still feel really lucky and proud of my body for carrying those babies so long and not having any issues. Although I'm sure I didn't appreciate it much at the time. And as bad as it is now, I really think it's better to potty-train now than when you're breastfeeding two babies and have to disengage to keep running to the bathroom. And by the way, I only see like one picture of you on here and it's not a very close one, but you look great.
