Fridge

We're in the market for a new fridge. I'd like to get stainless steel (maybe even the knock-off kind that lets you put magnets on and doesn't smudge as much). Side-by-side fridges/freezers drive me nuts, and my kids would be endlessly opening a bottom-freezer model. So, that leaves us with top-freezer models.

If you have one, or could shed some light on which brand/model not to get, please do so.

Ours is a bottom-freezer (and yes the kids do open it, but I'd still rather have the fridge on top) so I can't be much help there, other than it's a Kenmore and nice. My recommendation would be 1. wait until a holiday weekend to purchase since appliances always go on sale then, and 2. check out the Sears Outlet in Orem- we were in there last night and they have some great buys.

I agree with the previous poster. I really like our new fridge that has a bottom freezer. The only thing that I don't like is that we have less freezer space than before. But not having to bend down to see the stuff in the fridge is so nice!! We also got it on a holiday sale at RC Willey and purchased last year's model so it was a good deal. The bottom freezer is kind of hard to open so my little boys don't even attempt it yet. But I'm sure that will change.
