Easter Egg Extravaganza 2008
Once upon a time, A's cousin and her family had an Easter egg-coloring tradition. They decorated eggs together and had a contest to determine which ones were the coolest. They had categories like Cutest, Prettiest, and Most Traditional. One year, they decided to invite us. And things quickly went downhill. Our categories this year included Most Artistic, Most Demented, Most Creative, Most Hideous, Worse Overall Egg 2008...

A and others couldn't resist getting a little political this year...
And here's a few pics from the activity itself. Thanks, guys! It was great, as always!

What talented artwork! I'm so impressed. This year, the aunts did eggs with the kids and I remembered why I never do it. I don't tolerate the idea of dye mess very well. But they had so much fun, it was hard to begrudge the kids. I'm glad the aunts thought of it. But their art did not rise to the level of your competition worthy eggs! How fun.
What a fun idea! I definitely want to try that next year...
I'm sorry - are you pregnant in that picture? Because you don't look it at all! Talk about your skinny arms! :). And btw, I do love the easter egg decorating idea - what grand fun!
What a great tradition!
I love the politcal eggs!!
how did you do that?
I love the Hillary (that's exactly how I always picture her) and Obama eggs. So funny!
Awesome eggs--way better than ours. And can I just say you look fabulous?
So much fun. My mom has the kids over every year to do eggs, but our are never aS CREATIVE AS THOSE, ALTHOUGH THIS YEAR SHE DID GET 24k GOLD COLORING AND marblized coloring, they had fun with that. I will have to tell her about your eggs, she would love that!
