Today, A and I attended a local tax day tea party. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, go here. We had hoped to take the kids and make it a family affair, but with rain and snow in the forecast, we decided against it and had A's sister watch them (all five—she's awesome!)
Even though it was very cold and snowed most of the time, there was a great turnout, with families, older people, college kids, and even men in business suits represented. And more than talking about the mistakes of any one political party, most of the speakers talked about returning to the fundamentals of the Constitution, holding our U.S. and state senators/representatives accountable, and standing up for our rights as Americans.
It was a great event, and I'm glad we could be a part of it.

And when you said tea party I actually pictured you and A in tea party clothes...hats and all enjoying little sandwiches and sipping lemonade. Love the poster and look how cool you all are. Proud to be related!!
Way to go. I stayed home because of the weather, but Heidi and my mom went!
Awesome that you went to a political event like this! You'll have to tell me exactly what your sign meant sometime... I'm curious about exactly what prompted it. I'm not sure we could remain civil during a political conversation, but hopefully we'd at least both leave intact. ;-)
I love your sign. I am sad that you don't have a picture of A's sign. I think we are all suppose to learn from our own past and the past experiences of others. But as usual the politians seem to think they are in a class of there own.
